Asia Child Support (ACS) is a certified NPO that supports children in developing countries in Asia. Its website says it has carried out 157 support projects (124 of them ongoing) in Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Mongolia, Sri Lanka and Japan.

It is said to have supported about 200,000 people in developing countries, and nearly 20,000 children have gained access to education. In Japan, under the banner of a youth development movement through international cooperation, it has given talks to 350,000 schoolchildren and students about the value of life and the importance of living earnestly.

It also carries out a well construction program called the "Fountain of Life" project (suspended, as announced in November 2022, because of the situation in the project country) and provided instant houses after the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake. The latest notice on the official website is a year-end holiday announcement dated December 19, 2025.

Key points

  • Continuing support projects in several Asian countries, with a focus on children's education
  • Well construction through the "Fountain of Life" project, and instant houses for disaster-hit areas in Japan
  • Youth development through talks given to schoolchildren and students in Japan

Why this organization's work stands out

A distinctive feature is that it works overseas while also giving talks to children in Japan, aiming to connect international cooperation with the learning of young people.

Its website also notes recognition of its work, including the Asia Contribution Award from the West Japan International Foundation in 2023 and a social contribution award in 2022.

Editor's comment

It struck me as an organization that puts effort into both the education of children in Asia and messages to children in Japan.
