The two exchanged views on the Indo-Pacific region and confirmed the importance of maintaining and strengthening the unity and cohesion of the Pacific Island countries. They also agreed to keep working closely together, including toward the success of the 11th Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting (PALM11), scheduled to be held in Yokohama next summer.
