Polaris Project is a multicultural grassroots organization combating human trafficking and modern-day slavery. Based both in Japan and the United States, the organization works to provide an extensive service to victim, conduct advocacy, and raise awareness. Polaris Project Japan especially works to combat sex trafficking as Japan has one of the biggest sex industries in the world. We use a comprehensive strategy by not only empowering individual survivors of trafficking, but also by creating long-term social change. Throughout the seminar, we will provide the basic facts about human trafficking, share the victims testimonies and how Polaris Project works to eradicate trafficking of women and children in Japan.
