Oita City and JICA Kyushu have designated the month of October as "Oita International Cooperation Awareness Month", in connection with International Cooperation Day on October 6. The main event is Oita World Festa 2026.
Held by Oita City in cooperation with international organizations, the festival features stage performances, exchange, exhibition and sales booths, and a wide range of food. Visitors can learn about the international cooperation efforts of participating groups and feel closer to countries around the world.
Key points
- Saturday, October 31, 10:30-15:30 at Iwai-no-Hiroba, Oita City
- Stage, exhibition, exchange and sales booths, and food
- A chance to learn about each group's international cooperation work
Why we recommend this event
International cooperation can start with a local event. Chatting with people at the booths is a great way to learn about their work.
With stage shows and food too, it looks easy to enjoy for families and for anyone new to international cooperation.
