The JICA Volunteer Program dispatches Japanese nationals aged 20 to 69 to developing countries as volunteers. This autumn's long-term recruitment has closed, but short-term recruitment (one month to under one year) began on October 6.
In table tennis, volunteers are currently sought in Tunisia (two requests) and Gabon (one request). The notice is aimed at people who want to use their table tennis experience abroad or are interested in volunteer work.
Applications are accepted until October 27 (23:59 JST), and My Page registration must be completed by October 26. Information sessions are being held nationwide and online, and attending one is suggested as a first step.
Key points
- Short-term assignments of one month to under one year; apply by October 27
- Table tennis volunteers wanted in Tunisia and Gabon
- Information sessions held nationwide and online
Why we recommend this opportunity
It is an initiative in which citizens can take part, putting sports experience to work for international cooperation.
Because the assignments are short, some people may find them easier to try than long-term postings.
