Panel discussion featuring presentations, followed by open discussion.
Expectations of businesses are changing. 21st century consumers demand that corporations treat the environment and people responsibly. Investors look at the treatment of workers, impacts on the environment and communities, transparency of information, and governance processes as well as profit margins. Each panel will feature leaders from the corporate and civil society sectors sharing their experience and policies.

Panelists:
Connor McVeigh, Vice President of Supply Chain, McDonald¡Çs Company (Japan), Ltd.
Originally from a farming community in Ireland, Connor has a long held passion for food and farming. With over 20 years¡Ç experience in the UK food retail sector, Connor previously held the role of Category Buying Director and in a number of senior Trading and Operational roles. Connor heads supply chain management for McDonald¡Çs in Japan and is responsible for all quality and safety initiatives, as well as environmental sustainability across the supply chain including guest packaging. Learn how McDonald¡Çs works with its suppliers and the community to leverage its scale for good!

Shigefumi Yamaura, CSR Coordinator, H&M Japan
Shigefumi has worked at various retail stores around in Japan as a department manager and a store manager before assuming his current position. Applying his music and management background to the role, he is engaged to move forward the company¡Çs sustainability vision: Leading the change towards circular and renewable fashion while being a fair and equal company.
